Noise Pollution...Decontaminated!

City Pollution

Prolonged, loud noise can definitely be annoying, but could it actually be detrimental to your health?

Studies say…YES! In fact, prolonged exposure to sustained noise even between just 40 to 80 decibels over time can increase your risk for a heart attack! For every 10 decibels of increased traffic noise over a period of 10 years, the risk of a heart attack increases by 12%.

“Noise isn’t just a nuisance. It is also a health hazard, causing hearing loss, tinnitus (ringing), hyperacusis (an intolerance of normal sound levels) and non-auditory health effects: increases in stress hormones, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and death.” ~ The New York Times

Of course, noise levels are higher in bigger cities, and the Atlanta-Metro area is booming. Thankfully, there are solutions available!

Sound Proof Atlanta’s consultants are often called in to determine decibel noise levels, to see what your levels are currently, and to suggest what solutions are available within your budget to bring what may be noise pollution now, down to a healthy, safe, and peaceful level for you, your family, or your employees.
