You can either Absorb, Block, or do a Combination of the two when dealing with Noise. So when you’re thinking about your situation at the office or at home, consider what you want to do with that nasty intruder called NOISE.
Here are a few examples:
Acoustical Wall and Ceiling Panels basically ABSORB NOISE. An added blocking material can be added to acoustical panels to make them a combination product, however, they do then become heavier in weight.
Acoustical High-Performance Windows BLOCK NOISE. The combination of the glass feature, STC-rating of the window, and installation rate windows block the noise.
Acoustical Combinations are usually the use of two types of materials sandwiched together or used in tandem in space to create the effect of both BLOCKING and ABSORBING NOISE.
